Description
This is a premium automotive masking tape in a bright blue color (24 mm wide, 50 meters long), made from rich, moisture-resistant crepe paper. As clearly shown in the images, the tape features original internal branding on the core, confirming its genuine German origin and premium quality. Thanks to its unique adhesive formula based on natural rubber, it is specifically designed for drying cycles in paint booths as well as for extended outdoor use.
Why the blue Q-Refinish 10-103-2450 painter’s tape is the standard for quality on the shop floor:
- High heat resistance (90°C): The tape withstands prolonged cycles of high-temperature drying (curing varnish or primer in an oven) at temperatures up to 90°C without curling at the edges or peeling off when exposed to infrared heat.
- UV Resistance: Unlike traditional yellow painter’s tape, Q-Refinish blue tape is resistant to sunlight. It can remain on the car’s body in the open air without turning into hardened glue that is impossible to peel off.
- Clean removal without adhesive residue: The natural rubber adhesive ensures that the tape can be gently and easily removed in one continuous piece once all work is complete. It leaves absolutely no adhesive residue on paint, plastic, glass, or rubber seals.
- Water and chemical resistance: The tape features a special coating that completely prevents the penetration of water (during wet sanding) and aggressive solvents found in acrylic primers, base coats, and automotive clear coats.
- Excellent elasticity and adhesion: The tape adheres instantly to any automotive surface upon first contact. At the same time, it has moderate elasticity, allowing it to smoothly conform to the complex curves of body panels, wheel wells, or bumpers, creating a perfectly sharp contour.
